MAESCO<\/strong>
,\u00a0the abbreviation for \u201cM<\/strong>alaysia\u00a0A<\/strong>ssociation of\u00a0E<\/strong>nergy\u00a0S<\/strong>ervice\u00a0Co<\/strong>mpanies\u201d\u00a0was formed and registered with the Registrar of Societies in September 2000 under the registration name of\u00a0 \u201cPertubuhan Syarikat Syarikat Perkhidmatan Tenaga Malaysia\u201d. It was incorporated during the implementation of the\u00a0Malaysian Industrial Energy Efficiency Improvement Project (MIEEIP)<\/em>\u00a0by the Malaysian\u00a0Government\u2019s implementation agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it\u2019s name denotes, MAESCO was formed to bring together Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) within the nation under one entity. In togetherness under this entity, the Association was formed with the  Constitutional objective of;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf To develop recognized ESCO businesses in collaboration with Government and private sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf To actively promote the activity of cost reduction and efficiency standards of the industrial and commercial sector<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf To oversee the well being of  it\u2019s members<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf To facilitate and do all things necessary towards developing successful energy related projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf To introduce related products and services for the industry<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf To foster healthy co-existence amongst members through ethical professional practices<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Ensure prestige of services by members<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The following logo was fostered of which the colors yellow<\/strong> and green<\/strong>  both relates to the Association\u2019s belief, objective and practices. Yellow<\/strong> denotes the commitment of the Association and members alike towards  contributing professional beneficial services to the Society in general, whilst Green <\/strong>denotes the Association\u2019s image in relation to it\u2019s emphasis towards \u2018green<\/strong>\u2019 practices and responsibility towards the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Association is regulated by the Association\u2019s Constitution under the governance of the Societies Act 1966. Under the Constitution, the Association is to have a Committee comprising five Council Members and nine Committee Members. This has however been amended to five\u00a0Council members\u00a0and five Committee Members.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
